Luuk Wilmering
Insomnia is a film project in which we investigate the consequences of a disease process, against the background of other family events. As a whole, the film has become a collage of different elements that form an intimate portrait of us: a father and his daughter(s), who are looking for ways to translate the uncertainties of the disease process into something else, something hopeful. The subject is compelling, the conversations sometimes confrontational, but on the other hand also loving and in combination with the science fiction story alienating and yet light-hearted.
